Terms

My goal is to place my original artwork in spaces that make my collectors happy. If you have any questions, please contact me in advance of your purchase at lauriehuff.studio@gmail.com.

Every care has been taken to show the artwork as accurately as possible with regard to size and color. The image you see online may show a difference due to slight variation between browsers, devices and screen settings. Any variation between the image represented and the actual artwork is not deemed a fault and slight inconsistencies will not be a valid reason for return.

Ordering

How is my payment handled?

Payments are taken through PayPal in U.S. dollars. You do not need to have a PayPal account to purchase; you can use the PayPal service to pay with your regular debit or credit card. We do not store any of your debit/credit card details. Artwork will be shipped when payment is received in full.

Shipping

I have placed my order. How soon will I receive my painting?

Original paintings will be packed and shipped within 5 working days of order and payment in full (unless part of a current exhibition, in which case, there may be a delay, until after the exhibition is finished; information about such delays are typically noted within the Description of the piece). Parcels shipped within North America are sent by USPS, UPS or courier, depending on size and weight. Please allow 7-14 working days in total. If you need delivery by a specific date, please contact me first to make sure it can reach you in time. There may be an extra charge for rush deliveries according to your requirements.

Can I collect my artwork from your studio?

Yes. If you live within driving distance of Rockwall, Texas, USA, and prefer to pick up your work in person. Choose the ‘Pick Up’ delivery option during checkout and I’ll follow up with an email for us to discuss a place and time.

Is shipping included?

The cost of shipping within North America is included in the price of the work. This eliminates any ‘surprises’ when you check out. I try to always make this clear in the description of the painting.

Note: At the current time shipping costs are varying significantly due to Covid-19 restrictions, especially on air freight. If the actual cost of shipping is significantly more than quoted I reserve the right to discuss this with you and to refuse the sale.

 

Can you ship internationally?

At this time, shipping limited to US and Canada.

 

How will my painting be wrapped?

Paintings will be carefully packaged using corner protection, bubble wrap and cardboard. Each one is unique so I take care that it is well packaged and that it arrives in perfect condition.  Recycled or repurposed packaging will be used when deemed appropriate to be environmentally friendly.

Returns

What if my painting arrives and I don’t like it?

I want you to be fully happy with your new artwork so I offer a Buy-Back agreement.

If a painting is not as you expect, you have 30 days from date of order to contact me by email and request a refund. Once a return has been agreed, you are responsible for packing and arranging return delivery using the same service it was sent to you. Return shipping costs are at your expense. Once the piece has been safely returned in original condition, I will refund your payment within 7 days. 

What if my painting arrives damaged?

All work is carefully packed and wrapped. If you receive a work that has been damaged in transit, please contact me within 7 days and if possible document the damage in a photograph or two.

Will my painting look exactly like the photos?

Every care has been taken to show the artwork as accurately as possible with regard to size and color. Any variation between the image represented and the actual artwork is not deemed a fault and such inconsistencies will not be a valid reason for return. Pay close attention to description of painting regarding size, materials, etc.

Are your paintings framed?

Sometimes.

When finishing a painting, one of the many decisions I make is whether it might be enhanced with the addition of a frame. If a painting has been exhibited as framed, it is normally sold with the frame. In order to keep shipping costs down, and allow the you, the collector, to choose a frame that fits with your décor and space, most artworks do not include a frame.

Most works on paper include a white mat with the painting.

I always indicate whether a painting is framed or not in my written description of the work. You’ll also be able to see photos of it framed and unframed in the product gallery. When a painting is meant to be sold framed, the frame is already included in the price.

If you are interested in having a painting framed, please contact me to chat. Together we can discuss framing options, or I would be happy to simply give you advice on how to have it framed locally, after purchase.

Will my paintings be ready to hang?

Maybe. The painting description will state that it has been wired and ready to hang. Most cradled panels or stretched canvases thicker than 1” will be wired and ready to hang as is without a frame.  Works on paper with a standard size white mat can easily be popped into a photo frame.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website?

How do we protect your information?
Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order to maintain the safety of your personal information. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider (PayPal) and are not stored or processed on our servers.

How long do we keep your information?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically. Customer purchase records are kept for a minimum of 6 years to comply with legal requirements.

What rights do you have over your data?
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Do we use ‘cookies’?
Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.


If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.


If you turn cookies off it will turn off some of the features of the site.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information.

Occasionally, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. Please see the Paypal policy for more details.

We, use Google Analytics cookies to help us understand how visitors use the website. You can find out more about Google’s terms HERE

Privacy
Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page or as a minimum, on the first significant page after entering our website.
Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can easily be found on the page specified above.
You will be notified of any Privacy Policy changes on our Privacy Policy Page.
You can change or review your personal information by emailing us at lauriehuff.studio@gmail.com or using the update option at the bottom of every email.

We collect your email address in order to:
• Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions
• Process orders and to send information and updates pertaining to orders.
• Send you additional information related to your product and/or service
• Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to our clients after the original transaction has occurred.


We agree to the following:
• Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.
• Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.
• Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters.
• Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used.
• Honour opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly.
